Friday’s Five

It’s been a slow ass week over here. The days seemed to drag, and nights lingered. But starting this weekend, the next month or so seems to be pretty packed. My cousin is coming to stay with me for a long weekend, and it seems like something is planned for every weekend in March. But before I get ahead of myself, let me show you this weeks’ Friday’s Five.

  1. The Woman in the Window

You guys, this book is so so good. It has gained a lot of popularity, and now I know why! If you like suspense, then this book is for you. Hell, even if you don’t, this book is for you.I purposely stop myself from reading the entire thing every night. You’re easily hooked and desperately want to know the ending. I read Girl on the Train, and for me, this one is better. I haven’t read Gone Girl though. Maybe that’ll be next on my list. If you haven’t already, I highly suggest reading it.

2. Breakfast for Dinner

I am a true lover of breakfast for dinner. As a kid, I remember my mom making pancakes for dinner and always looking forward to it. Nowadays it seems to be more of a common thing. But honestly, who wouldn’t want bacon at any time of the day?

3. Getting $20 in the mail

I know, I know. This looks shady. But funny story; my dad and I had a bet for the Superbowl, and clearly I won 🙂 I was rooting for the Eagles and I’m so happy they won! Not only because I scored 20 bucks, but I love a good underdog story. Also, being from NY I’m not a fan of Brady. Haha. So, congrats Philly!

4. Sweet Potato Turkey Bowl

Doesn’t this look scrumptious?! I made tacos the other day (with turkey meat) and had leftovers. So, I threw that, onions & peppers, a sweet potato and BAM. Topped it with shredded cheese and sour cream and that’s it. It was so good that this will be a repeat for sure!

Go follow Rachel Hollis on twitter. NOW! She posts motivational quotes on the daily and I love it. I saved this quote as my phone’s background. If this doesn’t make you want to start your day right, then I don’t know what will.

I hope everyone has a great weekend! Oh, and it’s a holiday weekend! I hope some of you have a 3 day weekend like myself. Cheers!
